How I made $1,300 in 2 hours and How You can do it too!

I am about to tell you a story of how I made a little over $1,100 in less than 2 hours and how YOU can do the same even if you are a newbie. It does take very little technical knowledge and if I say something technical that you do not know how to do - just Google it, that’s what I did.

This idea has been posted MANY times on this forum and many other IM forums, it’s about taking your online business offline.

I was driving home from (I really don’t remember where) about two weeks ago and I noticed this small office with a huge window, they had many led signs displayed and projecting whole bunch of different lights. I figured those were for sale, so I stopped and walked in.

The owner welcomed me and ask if he could help me with anything.

- How is business? - I asked.
- Not too well, replied the owner of the store.

He then proceeded telling me a little more about the business. They sold led displays to businesses, schools, hospitals and so on. I asked if they had a website and as we’re in 2008, they did have a website just like many other businesses. The owner told me their website does not bring new customers but serves a purpose of showcasing the products to existing clients and to those who walked in at some point of time and took a business card with the website mentioned on it.

I told the guy that I could possibly help him get customers from the Internet, I proceeded by explaining the benefits of being in the top results of search engines, then I asked him how exactly those products are called and asked him to use his computer.

So I typed: WHATEVER THE PRODUCT Montreal. Then I tried Monteal WHATEVER THE PRODUCT - sure enough his website was nowhere to be found in the first 5 pages of Goolge, I didn’t check any further. In fact most results were somewhat irrelevant and those that were relevant seemed to be there by pure luck.

I made an offer the owner could not refuse.

I offered him to build a brand new site that would rank at least in the top 5 results for any keyword phrase he wants. I would charge him $1,000 ONLY if this happens and he agreed. I also asked him to purchase a domain name (that I already had in mind) and a cheap hosting plan - this cost him under $10. (Since he picked a monthly payment plan for the hosting, possibility to cancel any time and the first month was only $0.01). I also asked him to write the name of the top 5 products he sold, detailed description of each product and take a photo of each product. We drafted a quick contract, signed it and I went home. All this took about 30-40 minutes.

In 2 days I received an e-mail with all the information I requested. I logged into his hosting cPanel, uploaded Wordpress, uploaded a few free WP themes that I though would match the business, I also uploaded ALL-IN-ONE-SEO-PACK plug-in for WP and the sitemap plug-in. I created 5 pages, each with the name of the product I made sure to fill out all of the All-In-One-Seo fields with relevant information - so title of the page, description and keywords/tags. In about 30 minutes the site was complete.

I left it alone for a week, hoping to have the time to work on some backlinks, but as I was trying to see if Google indexed it - it appeared on the first page of the results for all 5 keyword phrases. That’s not all. Each keyword phrase was ranked as a result #1 and #2! Now, this might be surprising for some of you, but the truth is, when you are doing this for a local business you put the name of the city in the search - which makes ranking on top MUCH easier for MOST businesses.

Anyways, I went to see that guy the very next day, showed him the results which made him speechless and $1,000 poorer. Yes, folks that was it.

Now, you say - it’s only $1,000 - but the title says $1,300!
Pretty simple. The hosting he purchased - it was through my affiliate link which gave me a $100 commission (Hostgator on CJ). Before leaving the office I offered him a consultation for…. $200. In 15 minutes I told him about keeping his site on #1 spot by building backlinks. I explained the theory of article marketing - this took about 20-30 minutes.

A week later I received a call from this guy, thanking me once again. In one week this brand new simple WP website (… blog, really) brought him 2 new customers and a profit of $3,000.

… Should I have charged him more for such service? Probably… but it was the first time I tried anything like this and it was so spontaneous - I though even $1,000 was too much to ask. I’ll know better next time. However, It was a great experience and he already referred me to a friend of his who owns several used cars dealerships…

So, it is that simple. As you can see nothing technical in it. Or at least nothing that you can’t find a video tutorial for on Youtube. I am not a good face-to-face salesman, my offer was just too good to turn down. I promised results or it was free. The only expense I asked for was under $10 for the domain name + 1 month hosting. I am sure some businesses will turn me down - and this was my fear that always kept me away from trying such thing, but for some reason I had a good feeling about these guys, so I walked in with a smile and well… made $1,300 in under 2 hours.

You can do it as well, I am sure of it.

5 Ways for Internet Marketers to Save Money

Today I got 15 e-mails from Paypal and apparently today I lost almost $150 - renewing domain names I didn’t even want! So I started digging deeper into my Internet Marketing expenses and I found a bunch which I could eliminate, here is the list of top 5!

1. Renewing Domain Names

About 1 year ago I registered a lot of $1.99 .INFO domain names - because I had many different ideas and wanted to use those cheap domain names for testing… unfortunately I did not know that most domain name resellers renew your d0main names automatically. When these .info domain names are renewed - you actually pay almost 10$ per name instead of $1.99. So I went into my account and set almost all of my domain to MANUAL renewal. I made sure they my ESTABLISHED website domains are set on AUTO-RENEW.

2. Hosting

When I first started my Internet Marketing venture I purchased a web hosting plan. $120/year seemed reasonable, but I could only host one website, so when I needed to start a new website I purchased another hosting plan and so on… Eventually I ended up with 5 hosting plans costing me $600 and not only that! I also had to log in into each hosting account separately when I wanted to edit my website. Eventually I stumbled across Host Gator, where at 8$ per month I can host UNLIMITED number of domain names, unlimited disc space and unlimited bandwidth! They also offer great support and I haven’t seen one single downtime so far. Now I have 10 websites - which could have cost me over $1,200 per year in hosting alone, it now costs me under $100/year and all the websites are in ONE account - which saves a lot of time.

3. Monthly Memberships

1 year ago when I didn’t know anything about making money online I signed up to many paid membership sites and forums, I didn’t log-in to most of them since. Some were simply useless and others just weren’t my cup of tea. Sure, most cost me $20-$40/month… Let’s do the average at $30/month at 10 websites = $300/month waste! In one single year it adds up to $3,600. I have been a member of Wealthy Affiliate Community for over a year now, and this membership program offers me more than all those other paid memberships together - and it only costs me $1/day, why would I keep the others?

4. Stop Buying Junk

I often find myself an amazing sales letter about getting lots of free traffic to your website and sure enough I purchase that amazing $47 e-book just to find out there is nothing new. Great sales page doesn’t mean a great product, besides you most likely know all those “tips and tricks” on getting more free traffic, don’t spend money on it! If you want tips on getting free traffic, you can read some of the posts from this very blog: Free TV Traffic, Dominate Google’s First Page, How to Get Backlinks… Submit articles to EzineArticles.com, make HubPages, Squidoo Lenses, use Twitter, Youtube… Free Traffic right there and I am not even charging you for it.

5. Invest in Good Education

I just told you about not spending any more money on e-books, programs and the rest… However, there are a few things you should consider purchasing. If you are new to PPC (Paid Advertising) - You should definitely learn as much as you can about it, otherwise you are likely to lose a good chunk of money. There is a video course to PPC I could recommend; James Shramko’s Double Digit CTR. An amazing video guide to successful PPC marketing at a measly $39! I have purchased about 15 PPC guides so far, some at over $100 but this video course beats them all.

With these simple tricks I was able to save over $5,000 this year alone - I hope it helps you to save some money as well,

Free TV Traffic - Want Any?

Today, I am posting yet another technique to get FREE traffic to your site, blog, lens… and this will only take an hour or so! Well, let’s start with an introduction.

… One of my lists usually gets 10-20 new daily opt-ins but today I got 100! I had to dig deeper and find WHERE exactly they came from… it was a Squidoo lens I built a while ago. That lens usually gets 20 uniques per day, but today I got a little over 750! About 250 of them clicked on my links within the lens, 100 subscribed to my list and I also got 5 sales! Remember, I spent 30 minutes creating this lens, another 20 minutes writing an article and submitting it to EzineArticles, 3 or 4 months ago and I haven’t done anything to it since.

So what exactly happen?

When I created the lens, I tried to use the “Free TV Traffic” techniques I learned about on Wealthy Affiliate. This technique was posted by Jay, a member of WA (I don’t feel right taking credit for it).

So, I explain. You most likely have seen those “Work From Home” TV infomercials. Many of them promise to make you super rich but we all know it’s a bunch of B.S. most of the time.

Just kidding. Here is something a lot of marketers don’t realize. Many of those folks who stumble across these infomercials open up Google and search for reviews. So why don’t you make a review and get on the top results of Google for the main keywords? I explained how to get on Google’s first page in this post: “Dominate Google’s First Page for FREE”.

You could either order their package and review it (which I do not recommend, because once you give them your phone # - they will never stop calling you). What you could do, is check out Scam.com and RipoffReport.com - most of the programs advertised on TV are listed in these sites, with reviews and customer’s feedback.

As to WHY I got so many visitors all of the sudden, the answer is simple. That same infomercial ran on TV today at 3pm, then 6pm - and since it’s Saturday, most people are home, watching TV.

Now you see how amazing it is. You make this lens or a blog, which will have a constant amount of daily visitors and HIGHLY increased amounts of visitors on special occasions - for instance when that TV ad is playing on TV. The advertiser pays hundreds of thousands of dollars to have their ad on TV - but most of the time they do not optimize their online business - so you “steal” their traffic, it’s all your completely free!

Don’t limit yourself to “Make Money From Home” infomercials. There are A LOT of TV ads related to looking good (Muscle Building, Acne Removal…), Losing Weight and many many others…

DISCLAIMER: Please use this technique at your own risk. I once purchased a domain and built a mini site about it, The_Whatever_Infomercial_Scam.com and I received an e-mail from the lawyer of this company asking me to transfer the domain name to them or they will sue me for $300,000 because I used their trademarked name and claimed their company to be SCAM (which it was and still is).

Do You Read Magazines?

A year ago I subscribed for EuroTuner (U.S. Magazine talking about European Car Scene; Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Porsche…)

This 100 page illustrated magazine has been around for 10 years now. I subscribed because I am a Volkswagen freak and I want to keep up with the newest products in the industry, events, projects and so on… It’s a passion of mine, and for only 25$ a year I get 12 issues! (12$ if you live in the USA).

Well, slowly but surely this hobby has shifted into a money maker. Every months I see the hottest Wheels, Car parts, Turbo kits and so on - so I made a website that “sells” all that (as an affiliate). I contacted some of the most popular websites that sell these parts - and a few of them were happy to set up an affiliate program which they didn’t have before.

Besides knowing what parts are hot - I know of all the upcoming events and gatherings for European car enthusiasts. WATERFEST, one of the events, attracts over 20,000 cars every year! So I add a page to my site, about Waterfest! On this page I tell people how badly they need to show off their new set of wheels at the event, and guess what? They can purchase the wheels at only $2000 by simply clicking on that special link!

I guess you get my point. This could be applied to almost every niche out there! For $25/year I get at least 5-10 great ideas EVERY SINGLE MONTH! And I make sure to monetize on it!

Now, go out, buy a magazine on a subject you enjoy and think of could could you possibly monetize on it!

Make $1,000,000 with Christmas Madness!

Ok, you won’t make a Million - but a good chunk of cash is very easy to make right now!

Millions of people will soon be breaking their heads on what to buy as Christmas gifts for their family, friends, coworkers…etc. And just when everyone is eager to buy, it is our chance to sell and to make massive amount of money!

Every year the “Christmas Madness” starts earlier and earlier. Every year more and more money is being spent on Christmas gifts all over the world. Well, what did you expect? Kids no longer want the $5 wooden Nutcracker, they want a high tech $500 Wii. Adults don’t want some $50 Walkman, they want a $500 iPhone - I could go on like this forever but I guess you get my point.

So what should you do now?

I suggest making a blog on blogger.com or making a site with weebly.com, you sign up to Amazon affiliate program, get your links and start selling! Over 2 months before Xmas - you still have plenty of time to make some decent cash!

Just to give you an idea of what’s hot this year and what will be MOST LIKELY sold out in the stores:

… and you can imagine these numbers will only go up as we are approaching the Xmas Madness!

Well, first of all - nothing against Frank. I love this guy’s content, in fact I think he is one of the greatest marketers ever! So what’s all this really about?

You see, I usually have very short hair. I get a hair cut every 2-3 weeks… I haven’t cut it for a month now, however, I want to make it clear - I don’t like to have long hair. So I made up this stupid goal; “I will only cut my hair when I am back on track, making $10,000/month once again…” See, I have been lazy lately and haven’t worked on my promotions… and being lazy kills a beginner marketer, more importantly it kills his income!

So I though, as I see my hair grow longer and longer - I will be more motivated to work more and make that $10,000/month+…

I do wish I’d become as successful as Frank Kern, however I don’t want to resemble him simply because of the long hair

Hey folks!

How are your online campaigns rolling? I hope they’re making you some decent moolah!

Anyways… So today I was suppose to launch LingoBasics.com, another Clickbank Product… but it didn’t happen. Only today I realized how many OFFLINE factors could affect the actual online business. If you’re in for a little story - than keep on reading.

Today at noon I was making some final touches to the LingoBasic’s sales page, and I was about to send out an e-mail to my affiliates about the program launching at 5p.m.

Before going really deep into all of this, I decided to take my dog for a walk. Spending 30 minutes on the fresh air ( hummm… who am I kidding; Heavily Polluted Metropolitan Air is not fresh), anyhow, after taking a half -an-hour walk I got a boost of energy and was ready to go all in on that product launch. So, I get beck to my computer, open up AWEBER and start writing an e-mail to ny affiliates and all of the sudden - BANG!

… my pc shuts down. In a few short seconds I realize there is no electricity at home! What a great reason to go outside and buy a coffee! As I make it to Tim Hortons (Very popular Canadian coffee shop) which is located only two blocks away from home, I find out, to my disappointment that they also don’t have electricity hence they can’t sell anything. It appears that a few neighborhoods (including mine) don’t have any power.

I start getting a little worried and upset. I have to launch a product, I was also planning on watching the Prime Minister debate on TV (Canadian elections are coming up) and well, a few more things…3p.m, 4p.m 5p.m… 9p.m… still not power! Starting to get bored and sleepy I get into my car to go for a drive downtown, where I can finally get my coffee. Local radio station announces that some excavations in my part of the town damage the power lines but it should be fixed soon enough! Well, what do you know? 10:30 p.m the Light is finally back on!

I have never been that happy to waste some electricity and I honestly do believe I wouldn’t be able to live without it… As you can see, a little mistake made by construction workers ruined my product launch and well - it ruined the whole day for me. The online business does not only depend on Keywords and Traffic - it depends on so many other things we can’t control…

Lesson to be learned? I need a laptop with a copy of EACH and EVERY document that I have on my PC - if I had that, I would have been able to go work in a downtown café… One more thing to buy ASAP.

Dominate Google’s First Page for FREE

Hello, folks! This post is inspired by a thread started by “domainiac” on one of the Internet Marketing forums. I added some spice to this combo, a way to get better results. So, let’s begin the domination of Google’s first page.

1 ) We are going to use Wordtracker Gtrends Keyword Tool. Search the main keyword. Then, pick the ones you want to use. On the right side of each keyword you will see a little icon (3 bars) if you click on that icon, a new page will open. This page gives you the number of competitors for this keyword phrase - it also gives you a number of CLICKS that keyword gets (assuming it is the result #1 ob the first page of Google).

2 ) So, you selected 3 keywords phrases, now you need to register 3 blogs on Blogger.com and 3 blogs on Wordpress.com. Each blog’s URL must contain one of the keyword phrases, use dashes for blogger. Example:

how-to-learn-spanish.blogspot.com and howtolearnspanish.wordpress.com - all 6 domains MUST be available.

3 ) After you registered all 6 blogs, write 2 paragraphs. Each paragraph must contain all 3 keyword phrases. If out phrases are; Learn Spanish, How to Learn Spanish and Learn Spanish Online, the first paragraph will look like this: “You have always wanted to Learn Spanish. Learning a new language might not be as difficult as it seems, so How to Learn Spanish with ease? The quickest way is to Learn Spanish Online. It is cheap, quick and effective…” as you see, the paragraph uses all 3 keyword phrases. The second paragraph will do the same.

4 ) Post these 2 paragraphs to EACH blog. Now make EACH keyword phrase in the blog (total 6 in 2 paragraphs) into your affiliate link. However, I prefer to link them all to a landing page. More on this later.

5 ) Go to FeedAge.com and submit the RSS FEED of EACH blog. The RSS feed of your blogger blog will look like this: http: / /YOUR-BLOG-NAME.blogger.com/feeds/posts/default and the RSS FEED of your Wordpress blogs will look like this: http: / /YourBlogName.wordpress.com/feed Also submit your blogs to Ping-o-matic!, Digg and StumbleUpon and every other social bookmarking directory you can possible find. To make this task a little easier (in the future) I recommend SocialMarker. I blogged about it in another post, Social Bookmarking or Highway to Backlinks. I suggest you to read that post before continuing. Also add all your blogs to MyBlogLog.

6 ) Make a Squidoo lens (or better 3 lenses - 1 per keyword phrase. Create links in these lenses LINKING to Your LANDING page (which you will build with Weebly.com or a site builder of your choice). Digg and Stumble both; Weebly site and Squidoo lenses.

7 ) Write 2 or 3 articles for EACH keyword phrase you chose. Make sure the articles are between 300-400 words. Submit these articles to EzineArticles. Make sure that your keywords are in the title of the article. After EA has approved your articles, you will be able to find your “Author’s page RSS FEED”, submit this RSS feed to FeedAge.com. Also, take these articles and post them in your blogs, 2 per day. Let’s say you wrote 6 articles. You will make 2 new post on each blog per day (during 3 days), this means each blog will receive 6 new posts within 3 days - Google likes it when you update After submitting new BLOG posts, click on the title of the post and you will see the exact address of the post in the ADDRESS BAR. It will look like: YOUR-BLOG-NAME.blogger.com/post1-How-to-learn-spanish - or something of that sort. Copy that link and submit it to Ping-o-matic. Do this for each new post. Submit all these articles to OTHER article directories, such as GoArticles, ArticleCity… etc. Link ALL THE ARTICLES, including the ones posted on EA to your landing page - this will give your landing page more backlinks and more authority.

8 ) Last but not least. Video Marketing. You can make a 1-2 minutes video very fast. Either film yourself using a webcam, capture your screen with a software (I use CAMTASIA, but I am sure there are some free ones) or simply make a slide show using images, music and text. PC people will most likely use Windows Movie Maker, MAC people will use iMovie. Both are very easy to use. Here is a SAMPLE video - I am sure you can do better than that: Watch This Video.

A few important things. When writing the description of the video, you should ALWAYS start like this: http://YourWebsite… If you write your link in this format, it will become BLUE and CLICKABLE, people will be more tempted to visit your site they they only CLICK and are not obliged to TYPE the address. Now, the important part… Create an account at TubeMogul and upload your video there. This service allows you to upload 1 video to Youtube, Myspace Video, Metacafe, Yahoo Video, Revver, AOL Video, Google video, Veoh and a few other video sites! And the SEARCH ENGINES love videos! You will often find videos ranking very high in the results of search engines.

9 ) Last but not least. Add your video to your Website, blogs and Squidoo. Don’t forget to DIGG and Stumble your videos as well…

Yes, it does take some times. But within a week you will have at least 1 of your links on the first page of Google for whatever keyword phrase you picked in the first step. Most likely you will get several listings in the first page.

TIP: Try to find keyword phrases that get a decent amount of daily searches and less than 100,000 competitors. (To see the # of competitors for your keyword phrases, use “brackets” when searching that phrase in Google. EXAMPLE: Instead of searching: Learn Spanish, search for “Learn Spanish”)

10 ) Now you have the MOST important thing to do:

I just logged into my Wealthy Affiliate account and I had received a private message from a member, telling me how SHE was inspired by MY story… This person read READ my first post in WA forum (that I made back in 2007) and then she watched my video where I show my $7,000/month Clickbank account.

Well, re-reading my forum post - it really made my smile… It goes like this:

Hi everyone.
Here is the deal… I made 4-5 CB sales in last 5 months - by miracle.
I won’t even show you that site where I was promoting the products as I no longer use it. Now I decided to RESTART my online career, I saw the video that was done by Travis back in 2006 and was hoping some of you could help. Hopeless indeed. Now I realize that I have been an Internet Marketer for almost 1 year. I realize that I went from broke to making over $10,000 per month… I realize that I went from “SLAVE” to a “FREE MAN”… Sure, Wealthy Affiliate helped a lot but it’s not the point. I just wanted to say that it can be done.

One Month Affiliate - LAUNCHED!

I have got my VERY first product on Clickbank! (it was about time )

To be honest, this site was launched in December 2007, I launched it with a “partner”… But the sales copy was a real mess, the product itself was not that good - however, we still managed to make a few sales…

Few months later I shut it down and decided to restart this project when I am more experienced. Social Bookmarking or Highway to Backlinks

It is important for a blog (site) to get more links. Your website gets more popular in the eyes of search engines if many other sites link to you. More links also means more exposure for your site hence more visitors.

Social bookmarking is an important step of the whole process of marketing your website. However, it is often overlooked by many site owners.

So what exactly is Social Bookmarking? Here is the definition from wikipedia:

“In a social bookmarking system, users save links to web pages that they want to remember and/or share. These bookmarks are usually public, and can be saved privately, shared only with specified people or groups, shared only inside certain networks, or another combination of public and private domains. The allowed people can usually view these bookmarks chronologically, by category or tags, or via a search engine.”

More and more Internet users visit Bookmarking sites such as StumbleUpon, Digg and many others. This means that every time you submit a link to one of these sites, you reach thousands of potential visitors. Also, you get a link to your site which increases your ranking in the search engines such as Google.

Now, social bookmarking might take up lots of your time. Right? Well, there is an easier way to do things; SocialMarker.com! Visit this site and on the right side you will see over 40 bookmarking sites. You need to visit each site listed and create a free account (try to use the same username and password for all of them, it will make your life easier). It will take an hour or two – but you do it only once. Once you are done, go back to SocialMarker and fill in the information about a page you want to add; Title, URL, description and keywords – then click on Submit. In another 30 minutes or so, your site will be submitted to all these directories – giving you backlinks and visitors.

Repeat this step EVERY time after writing a new post to your blog or adding a new page to your site.

Ways For Teens To Make Money

So, you are young and need extra cash? You could always cut your neighbor’s grass, babysit a lil brat or even work at a grocery store… However, there are other ways for teens to make money. One of the coolest and easiest ways to make money is the Internet.

If you spend a few hours online, browsing websites, blogs and wasting your time on many useless things offered by the net - why not make that time profitable? So what are the easiest ways for teens to make money?

Blogging gets my vote. Blogs are so popular and easy to maintain these days - everyone should do it. Simply by using Blogger,com or Wordpress you could create your own blog within minutes. Getting readers to your blog is not that hard - the hard part is to keep those readers loyal. The blog must be interesting and updated at least 2-3 times a week. There are many other details that go into “blogging”, I guess I will make another post about it later.

So, I told you about blogs but I still didn’t talk about the ways for teens to make money… Once your blog is running and has readers, you must start advertising on it. Many bloggers go with Google Adsense (displaying ads on your blog that are related to your content). When someone clicks on these ads - you earn anywhere from $0.01 to $1, even more on some VERY rare occasions.

Personally I prefer affiliate marketing over Google Ads. Basically affiliate marketing consists in promoting all sorts of products amd/or services and getting paid per sale, not per click. If someone purchases after clicking on a link on your blog - you get paid anywhere from a few dollars to $100+. Sex sells… so do trends!

Hate it or love it but sex sells. And it has been selling for hundreds of years - more than anything else. But sex is not the only thing that sells. Trends sell amazingly well. In some cases even more than sex.

Remember when Playstation 3 came out? Or the Wii? Or the Xbox 360? People spent to as much as 1 week in the line-up near their local Best Buy store, eager to lose over $500 for some game console… That was a huge trend. Even though the stores sold these for 400-600$ a piece, some savvy eBay users sold them for over a $1000.

Now the new iPhone - released in the USA in 2007. It was JUST released in Canada (July 2008) and once again people spent 2 days waiting for those phones to go on sale. Then they spent $600 on a 3Gb phone (not knowing that 8Gb are available online for a LOWER price) - another big trend if you ask me.

Now, Diesel, Von Dutch, Ed Hardy - clothing brands that are not exactly fashionable, but heck they are trendy. When $200 t-shirts sell like cupcakes, there is a trend and there is money to be made.

Opportunities are EVERYWHERE! (are you missing out?)

I noticed that many people on different forums keep asking: “What to sell” … the answer is quite simple - ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. When it comes to being an affiliate, please do not limit yourself to Clickbank, CJ and a few other affiliate based portals.

Please remember that a serious business will ALWAYS work with you, if there is an opportunity to make more money. Let me explain.

This summer I was shopping for an airfare from Montreal to London UK. I ended up buying tickets from a website called CheapTickets. Only after purchasing I started thinking: “Hmmm, cheaptickets is not an airline, so who are they?” - you guessed it, they are affiliates of many airlines. I checked out British Airways, KLM, Ryanair (to name a few) and they ALL have affiliate programs! Some offer as much as 5% commission per sale! And thousands (if not millions) of people fly daily, they all need to buy the tickets so why don’t YOU sell it to them?

In this case you do not even need to be a good salesman and convince them to buy the ticket. These customers are ready to BUY!

Wow, a lot of rant but I still didn’t get to my point. Even if the seller of a product or a service does not have the “AFFILIATE” button on their link - they will most likely work out a deal with you if you contact them. The best way would probably be a telephone. Do not be shy, phone them! Say you would like to promote their product for a small commission - most companies will go as far as hiring an affiliate manager just because of you!

Millions of people buy things online every single day; airplane tickets, insurance, computers, e-books, DVD’s, cars, houses… even private islands! So open up your eyes and start looking for opportunities.

Copywriting After Dark

Wow! It’s 1:20 am and I am in front of my computer, trying to finish up some sales letter for the products that I will be launching soon. Copywriting - something you cannot learn as quickly as easily might be my weakest point. But hey, I am trying to learn it. It’s a business of trying, failing, getting better, failing again and then having great success. I just took a photo of my set-up for tonight:

… I know I know, an energy drink and a coffee is not the healthiest thing in the world - but I feel like I will be staying up the whole night. Writing, re-writing, looking through these amazing books I bought off of Amazon.

Do You Have a GOAL?

Hey, folks!

… in the past few months I have met quite a few people, in real life and in the cyber space - all these people were trying to make some money on the internet.
Many of these people eventually gave up.

Here is a little advice and a little story from me.

When I started in October 2007 - I had a goal; to make a sale.
Once it was achieved - I made another goal - make at least a sale per day… it took a few months - but I got there… And guess what? I wouldn’t give up - I make another goal; To have at least $100 day - EVERY DAY.
… Guess what - I achieved it in February 2008.

I also had another goal in mind, I even posted about it on WA - You see, I am a car freak, so my goal was to buy a 2008 VW R32 this summer… $30 000.
I do not own this car and here is why:
- These cars are only available in the USA and are not legal in Canada
- I already own a 2007 VW…
- I found better use for the money…

… So I made another goal - a $500 day… I had a few 400$ days, but never got to 500$, until yesterday:

I guess you already know my next goal? Yes, $500 days all the time

So what is the point of the thread?

YOU NEED A GOAL. YOU NEED SOMETHING TO KEEP YOU MOTIVATED.
Wanting to earn some extra ca$h is not enough - tell yourself EXACTLY how much you want to earn - then go for it!
Let it be a house. a Ferrari, or $10 M… You need a GOAL, this way you will work towards it.

Hey folks!

This will come as a self-motivation post, in my situation still related to Internet Marketing…

… I still remember how 1 year ago I was working my 9 to 5 and how tired I was when I’d get home after work. My girlfriend almost broke up with me at one point because I have become so lifeless… Besides, I never had enough money to take a nice vacation. Forget the vacation - I couldn’t afford a nice night out!

Some people go through life HAPPY even though working regular jobs, but these people are doing something they LOVE to do. Let’s say a Chef at a fancy restaurant or a pilot, but only FEW people actually love their jobs - I hated mine.

Tonight I came home a bit past midnight after a nice night downtown with some friends. We stayed at a cozy terrace on Crescent street where the Montreal Grand Prix (Formula 1) festivities are taking place. And as I got home, I felt that huge wave of happiness! I have been out the whole day and I still made $300! Can you do that with a 9-5 job? I also received my tickets to Sensation White - the biggest dance event that takes place in Amsterdam. This will actually be my first vacation out of Canada - EVER.

There are many other little things in my life that are going exactly the way I always wanted them to go. Without Internet Marketing I would have never be where I am now. I am officially happy with my life…

I am sorry for the rant, but I am so hyped at this moment - I just had to post this!

Creative Way to Monetizing on Squidoo

Do You Squidoo? If not, you should get the Squidoo Queen, but if you already know what Squidoo is and if you are using it - here is a creative approach on monetizing on Squidoo. I would be speechless if no one else is doing it but here is the deal…

Most Squidoo users promote things as affiliates. Let it be infoproducts off of clickbank, physical products from Amazon, hosting plans, eBay auctions …etc. This is a great way to make money online since search engines still love Squidoo’s unique content and rank it high in the results.

Certainly, you know that Squidoo earns money off of the Google ads that appear all over your lens and the best part - you even get a part of these earnings. Personally I have about 10 lenses and I make about $10-$15 a month from those Google Ads… but I am sure this is old news for you.

Here is something you might not know; Squidoo actually pays you for referring new members. Here is how it works: You refer a new member, that new member creates lenses and as soon as the new members earns $15 from those Google ads - Squidoo sends you $5.

I agree that $5 isn’t much - but what if you could refer 100 new members? You’d make $500. If you can get 1000 new members? That is $5000 and so on. The best thing - it is TOTALLY worth your time. Now let me explain how YOU can activate this additional auto-pilot income stream.

DISCLAIMER: I could have made this guide into an e-book and I am sure it’d be selling thousands of copies at a price point of $7-$10, but I will spill this little technique completely free. Yes, I am that nice.

Okay. All you need to do is to write a small report. Just few pages - not more. You already know the base of Internet Marketing, now you need to explain it to others. In your report you explain how much Google loves Squidoo. You also explain how to promote Clickbank/CJ/Amazon products using Squidoo… You put 5-10 links to Squidoo in that report, however - DO NOT link directly. Go into your Squidoo dashboard and find your referral link (usually you will have to click on “Invite Friends” button) - use this referral link in your report.

So your report is ready, what do you do next? Spend a few minutes uploading it everywhere you can; Torrent websites, free e-book directories, add a link to your facebook/myspace profiles, e-mail it to your friends - and the money will start rolling. This viral marketing technique will work because of two simple but important points:

1) People LOVE blogging nowadays, building a Squidoo Lens is very similar to blogging.

2) You give it away for free and the use of Squidoo is COMPLETELY free - people wouldn’t even realize that you are profiting on it.

… the full process should not take you more than an hour and the money will be coming in for YEARS. As long as your little awesome report is online!
