In this episode of Extra Paycheck Podcast I am celebrating the very first anniversary of the Extra Paycheck Podcast.
It’s hard to believe I started the Extra Paycheck show 370 days ago. On January 23rd 2015 I wrote that ” the Podcast will be my most challenging goal of 2015″ and in a way it was, especially at the beginning.
The very first episode was released on April 6th 2015 and you can find it here (and let me know what you think).
Having an accent in English was one of my biggest mental roadblocks. Sharing my accent and voice was out of my comfort zone and it took me a long time to get out of that comfort zone. I’ve decided that I wanted to share value with people and if people qualified that value by my accent than I didn’t want these folks listening to my show anyway.
Well, it has been a year. I have interviewed about 50 amazing entrepreneurs who shared their journey to success, their roadblocks, ideas, tips and strategies. So far it has been a blast (despite all of the technical and not technical difficulties). Please do scroll up and press that PLAY button to hear the 55th episode!
In this episode you will learn:
- Why you should get out of your comfort zone
- How to connect with influencers in your niche
- Why you should network with the successful folks
- How to beat the technical difficulties
- How to start a podcast for $100 (or less)
- How I used social media to promote this podcast (and blog)
- How I managed to release the past 2 months of podcast episodes while traveling
- … and a lot more!
In today’s episode I mentioned my guide on starting your own podcast. This step by step guide can be found here. It is completely free and it has been one of the most popular posts on this blog. If you like it, don’t forget to share it;)

You can also subscribe to the Extra Paycheck podcast and review it on iTunes. Reviews and ratings will take you 30 seconds but will have a tremendous impact for the show, please consider leaving a review 😉
