Over the years I have realized one very important thing. Absolutely every single person can earn an extra income online, replace their income and even earn enough money to lead their dream lifestyle.
The best part of making money online? You don’t need any marketing or technical experience. You don’t need to invest any capital either. Don’t get me wrong, it takes work and dedication and there is no magic shortcut to riches. However the fact remains: You can achieve great things, as long as you find proper guidance.
The main goal of this blog is to help you achieve success online. Unlike most other blog in the same space that concentrate on some theories, I actually based my advice on personal experience. Some things worked for me, others didn’t. I share my successes and failures.You’ll be able to see real results from real efforts and this will help you make the right decision.

Hello internet!
My name is Alex, I am 34 years old and I am an Online Entrepreneur from Montreal.
I am not a millionaire, I am not some “internet marketing guru”. I am a simple guy who discovered the possibility of building an online business and went along with it.
How Did I Get Here?
In 2007 I had a full time office job, the typical 9 to 5 with useless office meetings, 2 hours spent on daily commute and no sign of a bright future.
Without going into all of the details I had quit that job in the summer of 2007 and started looking for other opportunities online. This is how I came across the notion of making money online. I understood that many people were making a good living while working on the Internet and I thought: “Why not me?” I started learning and researching and the rest is history.
The Extra Paycheck Blog
In 2008 more and more friends and family were asking me to explain what online marketing is and how exactly I do it. This is when I started this very blog to share my journey and help others.
Eventually I also launched my FREE COURSE which now helped over 7,000 people to start their own online businesses.
Just like my online business, Extra Paycheck Blog had its ups and downs over the years. I almost lost the domain name once, the site had been hacked and I gave up on it more then once. However, in 2013 I’ve resurrected the blog for good.
Over the years I’ve learned more than I ever thought possible. I’ve created (and lost) successful online businesses, I’ve done online marketing for local businesses and I think I should share stories, experiences and strategies with my audience. If this blog will help a single person to become successful – I’d be very happy.
I need to write a few final words here. I have found out the secret to online riches! The secret is that you need to put in a lot of work into ANY business. Success doesn’t happen overnight and there is no magic button to success. If you are willing to learn and invest your time then stick around and I’m sure you’ll learn quite a bit from my posts. If you’re looking for a “get-rich-quick-scheme” then this is the wrong place.

I understand that you aren’t open to discussion since you mentioned you didn’t want a reply (although I don’t fully understand why you would spend your time writing such detailed message if you didn’t want a reply).
However, I decided to approve your comment since you do raise certain interesting questions that many others might have.
Well, let’s start with my affiliate link. I do not hide the fact that I am an affiliate for Wealthy Affiliate. In fact if you check out my tools page, I make it VERY obvious at the very top of the page that I might earn a commission if you purchase any of the products/services listed. “Might” and not “will” because many products are free, and I am not an affiliate for many others. I simply recommend them because they are great products that I use myself. Also it is important to mention that whenever someone joins the FREE WA membership, I do not earn a single penny.
Do I practice what I preach? Heck yeah! I have been working online for almost 8 years now, I have several sites in different niches (not Make Money Online related). I often share the info about these website with my blog readers as well. Last year I also started manufacturing my own products (in grooming industry) and it is now sold on Amazon and other online retailers. And yes, I learned most of what I know and do from Wealthy Affiliate community. I joined them in 2007 and got a wealth of information over the years.
Ken, you also mentioned that it is hard to build a business and keep it going. I say the same thing in almost EVERY episode of my podcast. Whenever people ask me for an easy or quick way to make good money, I alsways tell them that there are no shortcuts to success. That any business, on or offline takes a lot of time and effort. If it was that easy we’d all be rich, right?
Anyway, I hope this reply will be helpful to those who might have the same questions and concerns.

Wealthy Affiliate mainly concentrates on affiliate marketing. This means you will learn how to promote other people’s products and earn a commission on every sale. I like that model a lot because when you start working with companies like Amazon, you just promote their products and do not need to take care of shipping, billing, customer service… they do it all for you π

I have been following your articles closely and would like to share my experience regarding your comment “…you need traffic”.
You know Alex, I had been in search of a kind of home based income for some time, that will give me some financial support. However, I have not yet come across anything valuable. I have also spent around $ 200 and decided not to spend any more just like you.
Once, after various searches on the internet, I came across an article and a tutorial where it suggested about writing some interesting blogs and generate traffic through Google Adsense. I also came across something called “Hubpages” where I did post a couple of articles (one of which was based on a real life experience) and tried to link it with Google through Adsense. I tried various ways to link my blogs/articles with Google Adsense as per the instructions that came from the Google Adsense Team, however, none was successful. So, I have to leave that plan aside.
Your articles seem to be interesting, however, it does make me ponder when the question of internet traffic generation comes in our way and I do agree 200% that traffic is VERY important here which will decide my earning. Right ?
Now, in your future e-mails if you ask me to create an account with Adsense and link my blog/website with that then I do not think it would take me to the right direction unless you help me with that “linkup” business with Adsense.
Perhaps, I have wasted your valuable time with this stuff but I just wanted to share my previous experience with you on home based internet business. Please, help me so that I may succeed this time.

I married the web with print advertising and the right product with an 800# going into call centers…..Anyhow, I would like to employ your services for rankings in organic search through blogs,tubes…etc.

Working with Feeds was always out of my comfort zone… but I read your comment a few times and decided to try it out, as you can see on top of the blog, I now have it installed π
Alex, you can burn your feed to feedburner and then download the Feedsmith plugin to redirect your feed through Feedburner. This way you keep track of your subscibers and you can also add the subscibe by email option.
I think Aweber has an option to do this as well but I haven’t tried it or taken a look at it too well so you might want to check that out as well.
