Chase Boehringer did not start with entrepreneurial mind mostly because of his environment and himself. However with time he realized that he didn’t identify with his environment and he felt the need to start something on his own terms. Since Chase loved traveling and exploring the world it was only natural to start a blog in order to share his experiences. This is how the Bucketlist Lifestyle was born.
Although the actual blogging didn’t bring much success to Chase he refused to give up. With time his blog transformed itself into an adventure tour company with the same name. The awesome thing is that first clients of this tour company came to Chase asking him to take them on a tour.
Chase was a solo traveler and since the funds were limited he figured out several travel hacks that allowed him to see the world on a very small budget. This resourcefulness came in handy and helped him build his business. The Bucketlist Lifestyle adventures cost significantly less than the competition’s packages and it’s only because Chase is able to find ways to cut costs without impacting the quality of the trip and without cutting out activities or experiences.
For example, during a world-known festival all rental properties go way up in prices. Hotel rooms are usually all booked months (of not years) in advanced. Airbnb and similar platforms hike their prices by 200-500% which makes finding accommodations almost impossible. However, Chase came up with a way to find very cheap accommodations even during some of the busiest tourist seasons. Do you want to know his trick? Listen to the full episode to find out.
We can sell through articles, ads and many other ways. However Chase prefers selling through videos that show the real experience. Doing live broadcasts and making amazing videos is one of his favorite ways to do marketing. He shares the videos from the adventures with the participants (clients) and those folks are super pumped to share it with all of their friends. This is so simple yet so genius. I am not sure about you but I’ve definitely seen a lot of amazing videos (travel, festivals, etc) that motivated me to do the same activities. This is how I ended up traveling through South East Asia for 4 months – after watching several YouTube videos from people who have done similar trips.
Although Chase’s main business is all about traveling but this episode is about business. Here are some of the things that we’re covering in this episode:
There is episode is packed with serious value bombs which I don’t want to spoil here.
