In this week’s episode of the Extra Paycheck Podcast I am joined by an entrepreneur, CEO and founder of Trend Pie, Victor Ricci.

Victor Ricci got a marketing degree in university but while in his 2nd year at school he launched Trend Pie, an Influencer Marketing Company specializing in getting apps low cost installs using social media.
Trend Pie now collaborates with hundreds of accounts that have over 100,000 followers. When you sign on as a client with Trend Pie they will reach out to these accounts and pay them to promote your app, product or brand.
This strategy allows you to get your app, product or brand in front of millions of people for a very affordable price. I asked if Victor targets very specific audience (niche) and he replied that in his case it’s a completely different game. First of all Twitter doesn’t give out much information on its users which makes it almost impossible to understand your audience. Second problem, being able to target very specific audience means paying a lot more. In the end it comes down to this: Trend Pie is able to bring good results for a relatively low price.
The idea of Trend Pie came to Victor from his own social media experience. He started with social media in high school. Created a few different accounts and started posting content. On his Vine channel “Quick Life Hacks” Victor posted a video which went viral and got over 350,000 views and grew his following to 25,000 in just a few days. Eventually that account grew to 1.4M followers 😮
Victor started doing brand deals through his social media accounts but realized he didn’t want to post videos of himself as he didn’t like being in front of the camera. He thought of a way to leverage these accounts into a business and came up with Trend Pie idea.
