There are thousands of people who work remotely while traveling the world and discovering new cultures. Some people succeeded in making an arrangement with their boss where they would be allowed to do the work remotely. Some people live day by day, working odd jobs all over the world in order to pay off their travels. Some people built up their freelancer portfolios and do all sorts of work for their clients. There are also online entrepreneurs who actually build and grow their companies while traveling the world.
I wouldn’t say that I can’t live without traveling (although I have visited about 20 countries so far) but I enjoy it very much. Let’s put it this way: I love traveling but I wouldn’t want to do it 12 months of the year. When the travel bug bites me I aim for 4-5 months of “away from home”. Traveling is fun and all but when you start mixing work into that – things change. Working while on the move can be hard but it’s totally doable if you prepare yourself.
